Yoga, Essential Oils, & Meditation for Hiking Pains
In today's live Facebook event, I talked about how Yoga, Essential Oils, and Meditation can help us with troubles that come up when we're hiking. With the weather so beautiful out, one can't help but want to share in the pleasures of the outdoors. Because of this, I addressed essential oils the can aid with the common problems of sunburns, bugs, and muscle pain relief. I talked about yoga poses to help with common muscles aches following a big hike. Finally, I guided us through a mindfulness meditation to help us practice the skill of being present in the time and space we are in rather than on the future or the past. This can help us so that we don't make mistakes such as thinking about the hike we will be going on all the day at work and then while on the hike thinking about nothing but work. I hope you enjoy! Deep Blue is my go-to for all things related to joint and muscle pain. It comes in a lotion or the straight essential oil. I love to buy the lotion and then even in between hikes I can give my husband a massage on his back with this lotion. We love it!
This bug spray is very effective at keeping the bugs away. My husband uses it daily at work because he is outdoors most of the time. It helps significantly and it is natural!
Peppermint is great for sunburns because it can help take the heat out of the skin. It is also a great oil to place a drop of in your waterbottle or glass of water because it is so refreshing
