Managing Stress with Yoga, Essential Oils, & Meditation

Today I hosted one of my first live Facebook events on how Yoga, Essential Oils, and Meditation can help us with some of life's common health concerns. That's why for this very first event I chose to talk about Stress. Did you know that according to the American Psychological Association, chronic stress is linked to the six leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. Likewise, more than 75 percent of all physician office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.

I am passionate about creating a better world for all of us. I know that I have found tremendous relief from stress through Yoga, Meditation, and Essential Oils. If I can help decrease the impact of stress on even one person, this Facebook Live event will have been a success! Below I have posted the live recorded video. If you have any questions for me at all, be sure to reach out to me through the "contact us" section of this website!!

For your benefit, here are some resources on the essential oils that you may find useful:

If you're relatively new to using essential oils and you're looking for just one oil that will help tremendously with stress, lavender is what I would choose first! It smells fantastic and it is easy to use in a diffuser or by simply rubbing it into your palms and smelling the hands. Additionally, if you are thinking about getting this oil, I'd recommend trying out the Introductory Kit, which has 5mL of each of the three most popular oils (Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint).

This blend works with the lower chakras to help the body feel more grounded, tranquil, and relaxed. My favorite way to use this oil is to rub it on my feet in the mornings and then to use it on my wrists throughout the day as needed

I love the cooling smell to this oil which blends lavender, frankincense, peppermint, and other herbs such as rosemary and chamomile. My favorite way to use this oil is to rub some of it onto my temples when I feel a headache coming on.

If you already know you're in love with Lavender, you need to try out this essential oil blend! The tranquil scent will help all those little worries dissolve away. One of my favorite ways to use it is in a diffuser at my bedside while I'm falling asleep.
